Stethoscopes

A stethoscope is a medical instrument for listening to the sounds generated
inside the body. Most commonly it is used to listen to the heart sounds to
identify ailment. It is used in auscultation for examining the organs of the
chest, as the heart and lungs, by conveying to the ear of the examiner the
sounds produced in the thorax.
Cardiology stethoscope is simply composed of a Y-shaped rubber tube with a
diaphragm/bell at one end, it is used in auscultation of heart sounds,
respiratory sounds, and it is also used in conjunction with a
sphygmomanometer to measure the blood pressure.
